🛡️ School Safety
The safety of students and staff is our highest priority.
All exterior doors, classrooms, and instructional spaces are locked at all times. All visitors and staff must report to the front office, where we utilize strict sign-in procedures and provide visitor stickers when needed.
Staff members wear their WES ID at all times. We utilize video surveillance throughout the campus, and students are not left alone at any time.
We train our staff in responding to emergency situations, and we have written protocols to guide our response. Our school administrators and student services staff are trained in conducting safety assessments for individuals and will contact parents and mobile crisis providers when necessary.
We collaborate with the Wilkesboro Police Department, the Wilkes Sheriff Department, and WCS to implement a comprehensive safety plan.
