Information was sent home at the beginning of May about the wonderful opportunities that the public library offers over the summer. Please take the time to visit the public library and enroll your child in their summer reading program.
At the end of the year Mrs. St.John gave your child information about the Appalachian State University summer reading program. This program supports summer reading and gives your child opportunities to earn some amazing prizes if they complete the summer reading log.
Wilkesboro also has a summer reading log that was sent home attached to the ASU Summer Reading log and if your child reads daily the/she will be rewarded with a field trip to ASU. Mrs. St.John takes a group of students each year to Education Day in February. Students tour campus and get to watch a basketball game and cheer on the Mountaineers.
If your child did not make it home with the information, please stop by school and extras have been left in the front office. There are also attachments you can print from this page. See below.
